A romantic engagement session for the ages at the gorgeous Howey Mansion!
How they met:
Jennifer and Trae met at Indian Rocks Baptist Church on a Sunday morning in the college youth group. Trae had just moved back from living in New York and that was Jennifer’s first time going to that group. Their first date was about a week and a half after that at Red Mesa Cantina, Jennifer’s favorite restaurant.
How he popped the question:
Trae: “I had been been planning since October of 2019. We always take an annual trip to Breckinridge, CO and it is one of our favorite trips. There is a spot in town that has these huge Christmas trees & I knew it was her favorite spot. I secretly brought her mom and sister up to join us. They happened to be on the mountain skiing the same day we were so we had to coordinate the whole time to make sure we were on different mountains!
Trae: “Before we left, I had only told my mom and dad. We were pretending to celebrate my dads birthday (dinner) so everybody had to bring a nice outfit! As we were heading to ‘dinner’ I noticed that the lights on the trees had not turned on yet. So, I pretended to be sick and Jenn and I walked back to the house until the lights turned back on. Once they did, we walked back and everybody was hiding. I had a boom box hidden on a wooden carriage that is in between two of the Christmas trees playing our favorite song. Once I proposed, everybody was standing around us and Jenn didn’t even notice so I had to turn her and it was the best surprise.”
What they love about one another:
Trae: “I love Jennifer’s exuberance. She’s very kindhearted. She has the ability to not take life too seriously & makes everybody around her smile.”
Jennifer: “I love how Trae is still a child at heart. We love going to Disney World and Universal and we always have the best time. He makes everything we do such an adventure.”
What Jennifer and Trae enjoyed about their session experience:
Trae: “I thought Garry and Stacy did a very good job. They made something that would normally be awkward actually fun. Their chemistry together was encouraging and made things a lot easier for us because it made me feel more comfortable.”
